With the end of summer, the submission period for the Berliner Kompositions-Preis 2025 has officially concluded. We are delighted to share that the number of applications exceeded our expectations, both in quality and in scope.
Composers from 19 countries submitted their works, including: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
This impressive international response underlines the global resonance of the award and the shared passion for contemporary chamber music.
We warmly thank all applicants for their creativity and commitment. The jury will now begin its careful review, and results will be announced in the coming months.
On October 10, the main prize will be solemnly presented by „Stiftung am Grunewald“. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the foundation as our main sponsor for their generous support.
