Since its formation in 2006, the Berlin-based Sonar Quartet has consistently explored the boundaries of classical music, creating utopias and making sonic imprints through improvisation, the echoes of which pave the way for their next notated opus. The four musicians see themselves as a composing string quartet that transcends supposed genre boundaries.
